    (ANI)

Kathmandu, Mar 27 : At least seven people were injured when an unidentified group of armed men opened fire at a factory in Alau VDC in Nepal's Parsa District on Tuesday.

Binod Gupta, the owner of Chandani Khdya Udhyog, was among those injured in the firing, local reports said.

About five armed men came on two motorcycles to the factory in Chandal Chowk, about five kilometers south of Birgunj.

According to eyewitnesses, the group targeted the workers of the factory and the police could do nothing.

A police post is located at a distance of 100 meters from the place where the firing took place, Kantipur quoted eyewitnesses, as saying.

Meanwhile, a letter from an Indian criminal Chhotelal Sahni, threatening local entrepreneurs to choose between money and their lives, was reportedly found at the shootout site.

A manhunt has been launched for the attackers. Officials said they are coordinating with Indian police to nab the criminals.
