    Sharif to contest election from NA-123

    Lahore, May 15 : An election tribunal on Thursday accepted the nomination papers of Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Nawaz Sharif to contest election from NA-123.

    The tribunal also accepted the nomination papers of PML-N covering candidate Hamza Shahbaz, The News reported.

    The nomination papers of Nawaz Sharif were rejected during the general elections.

    Meanwhile, the hearing of objections against nomination papers of Shahbaz Sharif was adjourned.

    Talking to media, the lawyer of Nawaz Sharif said that the court has turned down the objections.

    The returning officers of NA-123 earlier reserved the judgment on the objections by the rival candidate.

    The returning officer also accepted nomination papers of Muslim League (Q) candidate Akhlaq Guddu, independent candidates Noor Illahi, Riaz Gujjar and Ashraf Jahangir.
