Brit Pakistani boxing champ Amir Khan blasts Pakistan's cricket's 'cheats'
    Malaysia Sun
    Thursday 2nd September, 2010
    (ANI)

British Pakistani boxer and WBA Light Welterweight champion Amir Khan has slammed Pakistan's cricket cheats, saying: "They've betrayed their country."

The Sun further quoted twenty-three-year-old Khan as saying: "The cricket scandal has disgusted me. If the allegations are true, these players should hang their heads in shame to be so greedy when their country is on its last legs. The scandal has also tarnished my boyhood dreams of cricket."

He added: "Now, I wonder, are Pakistan really the world-class players I believed they were as a boy, or did they just cheat?'

"Pakistani people are fanatical about cricket. To have the country's pride and joy taken away from them by a few alleged cheats - when the land has been ravaged - is cruel beyond belief." Amir said. (ANI)
