Abu Dhabi in a new construction phase
    Malaysia Sun
    Thursday 15th May, 2008

Housing shortages in Abu Dhabi are due to ease within the next three years as construction under way provides a new supply of units to the market.

30,000 units will be built in Mohammad Bin Zayed City alone.

Other private developments in other parts of Abu Dhabi will also ease the pinched market.

Abu Dhabi city apartments are generally going to cater for the high-end market but with middle-income property dotted throughout the complexes.

To accommodate the growing number of its labour population, there will be new labour camps in the city of Abu Dhabi.

The Greater Abu Dhabi city is expected to cater to a population of 3.1 million people by the year 2030.

The current population of the Abu Dhabi city is about 900,000.
