Atanas Atanassov, who headed the National Security Service in the end of 1990s, claims media have circulated information from a corruption report made under his helm in 1999.
The MP from Democrats for Strong Bulgaria is currently under trial over charges for malfeasance in office in preparing that report, which strongly shook and triggered reshuffle in the cabinet of then Prime Minister Ivan Kostov.
In the words of Atanassov, Bulgarian media are publishing classified information that would be inaccessible to them, unless supplied from insider prosecutor or judge on the case.
Bogdana Lazarova from Darik News reported that chief crime fighter Boris Velchev have ordered a check on the signal by the Military Appellate Prosecution Office.
