    Murdered student's body to reach India Saturday

    The body of murdered Indian student Samrajyo Jyothirmayee Vempala was to be flown to her native Andhra Pradesh Thursday, sources said.

    The body, which was brought from Birmingham to London Wednesday, leaves London by KLM flight 1028 to Amsterdam at 1930 hrs Thursday.

    It will be flown from Amsterdam to Hyderabad by KLM 728, leaving Amsterdam at 1245 Friday and reaching the Andhra capital at 0110 hrs Saturday.

    The sources said no one was accompanying the body.

    Vempala's body was discovered in her rented house in a suburb of Birmingham May 6 by police who were called in by neighbours.

    Police said Vempala, who came from Vijaywada and was an MSc student at nearby Wolverhampton University, died of head injuries.

    She was 23 years old.

    Nagaraja Kumar Nalluri, a 24-year-old man from Andhra Pradesh who is said to have known Vempala, is currently under police custody, charged with her murder.
