Barcelona, 1 feb (Prensa Latina) Spanish filmmaker Manuel Gutierrez Aragon will present Wednesday his latest production "A rose in France", a story about the white-slave trade set in the 50s" Cuba.
The film, whose main role was specially written for the Cuban actor Jorge Perugorria, shows him as a seductive, malicious and charismatic criminal.
Aragon, describing Perugorria as one of his favorite actors, confirmed that the plot and screenplay were developed out him, similarly, to what happened with artists Fernando Fernan Gomez and Angela Molina.
The director also referred to his permanent will to work in Havana where he always finds an enthusiastic, happy and forceful staff.
Beyond the epoch reflected on the screen, his story is more committed with the 40s, before Batista"s dictatorship. Film lovers will also have the chance to enjoy love, jealous and revenge stories.
Perugorria expressed his satisfaction to work with the Spanish director once more and this time in Havana. "It is great filming in my country, where I keep doing Cuban movie and assuming stories that represents us," said the outstanding actor.
